Extreme Performance - Todd Pavlisko

Todd Pavlisko caused a stir at this year's Volta NY with his performance piece which saw him hammering a nail through his own foot. The piece marked the end of a long process of research into the human body to avoid serious injury however the work's creation still involved a long process of recovery and rehabilitation for the artist. Interview by Jean Wainwright.
